Placer: The Golden Town

A place filled with abundance of natural resources where people can always make a living for their boundless love for their family. A place where people can always fell like home not because of the city-liked buildings and plenty establishments but because of the beautiful sceneries which captivate the eyes of the tourists and can hold their breath by making them realize to appreciate the purity and gorgeousness of the nature and the people living in it.

Everytime I wake up in the morning, it’s the sunshine coming from my window that gives me warmth and the people who are busy taking their direction and heading for their daily apportion tasks. Most of the people I see are fish vendor riding on a paddle tricycle to drop them in the public market, gasoline crew screaming to the cashier (maybe to give emphasis especially to the money the cashier will be receiving) while entertaining good to the drivers, mothers holding their child tightly while holding bundle of cellophanes to the other, police officers monitoring in the streets (maybe they are alarmed of the loud noise cause by the people and thought it could be chaos) and enterprises loaded with customers inside just to provide the needs and wants of everybody. In addition, most of the people are working at Manila Mining Corporation, the only mining operating in Placer since 2007 till present. This proves that Placer has the capacity of providing employment opportunities to people. Hence, people can provide for the needs of their family.

However, this is not what’s being measured of having the abundance but the warmth welcoming of the people living here and as to how they took good care of the blessings that God has showered to them---how they embrace the gifts from Above few of these are Cagbantoy Beach (pride of the Placernon), Tourism View, Tinago Island, Bangkay Island andMapaso Hot Spring.

The Golden Town of Placer is taking its way up to the haven of the Mother Nature.

MSU commemorates 55th Foundation Day

The Mindanao State University – Main Campus commemorated its 55th founding anniversary held at MSU Grandstand last September 1, 2016.
Different schools, colleges, fraternities and sororities and organizations sojourn the parade from Agha Khan to the venue despite of the extreme heat of the sun. The students and the faculty were very participative and attentive especially with their cheers and yells giving pride to their respective colleges. Their efforts, sacrifices and happiness were very priceless especially seeing them with a big curve on their faces holding different banners and 3Ds by way of representing themselves as one. Even during the parade, they enjoyed and had fun regardless of the aches from walking, standing and singing their yells at top of their souls.
