MSU commemorates 55th Foundation Day

The Mindanao State University – Main Campus commemorated its 55th founding anniversary held at MSU Grandstand last September 1, 2016.
Different schools, colleges, fraternities and sororities and organizations sojourn the parade from Agha Khan to the venue despite of the extreme heat of the sun. The students and the faculty were very participative and attentive especially with their cheers and yells giving pride to their respective colleges. Their efforts, sacrifices and happiness were very priceless especially seeing them with a big curve on their faces holding different banners and 3Ds by way of representing themselves as one. Even during the parade, they enjoyed and had fun regardless of the aches from walking, standing and singing their yells at top of their souls.
In an interview, Norrie Lou Montes, a BS Biology student shared “Actually pamugasay nani gamay kay this will hopefully my last semester. So best effort! And we just really have to grasp what is us. This is what we are!”
Traditionally, in celebration of the foundation day, all dormitories had their Open-House which dormers utilize their creative minds to come up the best concept or theme of their respective dorms. This way, all students were welcome to have a view and eat whatever is on the table of the residents prepared.
With the bliss that has been felt, all were able to satisfy themselves.
This year’s theme was “MSU @ 55: In Partnership with the National Government in Pursuing Reforms towards Peace and Poverty Alleviation.”
